Student Finance.
It’s that time of year again when the student finance contact number is pencilled into your diaries, of each and every new student on the verge of beginning their university career.

Student finance is there for every student who will most likely struggle to pay the bills and live the full student experience without a bit of extra financial support. Whether you’re going to university, on a part-time or full-time basis, there’s plenty of help available.

Tuition fee loan.
For those students going into full-time higher education, you’ll be eligible for up to £9,000 to pay your yearly tuition fees. For those students going into part-time higher education, you’ll be eligible for just under £7,000.

Maintenance loan.
The maintenance loan is available for those British born students unable to afford their living costs, such as rent, food, books etc while in education. The loan available is variable and depends on the individual living situation. For example, those still living at home may be eligible for up to just over £4,000, whereas those living away from home are likely to receive at least £5,000.

Maintenance grant.
The maintenance grant differs from the maintenance loan in as much as you don’t have to pay it back at the end. As you do with the maintenance loan. The only stipulations are with regards to how much your household income equals to. The grant ranges from £50 to nearly £3, 500 for those whose household income is £25000 or less.

Repayments.
With regard to paying back any student finance loans, the individual has to be earning at least 21,000 or more a year. Even then, the monthly repayments will depend on the amount the individual pays back each month. The smallest amount payable is £30.
